Time for a shave..

I do think this advert is slightly cruel and I understand it's meant to be comical because it is for a waxing company, although these cats are naturally bold its no use trying to wax one. I don't rate this advert much and think it was harsh to exploit the cats fur or lack off.

Fancy a loaf

This advert is comical, they have picked the perfect bread of dog to match a loaf of bread, this advert is to warn about germs, to make sure you realise that what you touch is what you eat. Everyone strokes there pets and then immediately eat food, same as we touch other people and then eat.
I think it is effective but it's maybe too comical for people to take seriously, and there is a bit of cruelty as the dog does look sad, but in another way they haven't overly made it obvious that he's meant to be a load of bread (so you are essentially eating what you touch). The whole spectrum of this advert is that you subconsciously see him as bread same as you subconsciously eat after touching items.

Why is a Rhino...

This advert is too show that this car has the same kind of power as a Rhino, not that the car is literally a Rhino. I think it's a good advert which stereotypes Rhinos as being strong, fast and steady which they are and they are also dangerous, same as cars. I think it's a good advert, it's not harming the Rhino in any way and it's a very wide angled advert that lets you decide your take on it.

Crime against fashion

These are more small illustrations in their rough forms to show the same issue involving animals.. The war on fashion.

Racoons will live!

This was an idea I had that went seriously wrong. The idea was to Rosie a puppet of a Racoon with its head and tails desperate so it could be pulled of to make a coon skin cap. But I drew it out without planning out the ligament joints, I also wanted to produce a man who would lift up the racoons head and wear it on his head. I drew it way out of proportion and the movements weren't smooth enough! So that was a failed experiment I'm afraid.

It was an idea to try and get the audience to actually interact with the topics and issues I was trying to raise awareness about.

Animal Abuse

Animals are always the victims in abuse, they do not deliberately do harsh or spiteful things, they cannot say sorry I our language, they cant express how they feel or what they need 100% as clever as animals are you cant expect them to understand you completely and ice versa and you cant abuse them for not knowing better because you cant teach them that! I don’t know what I can do to make people stop killing animals, whether its fox hunting for fun, clubbing seals, wearing REAL furs for fashion, or eating rare species like Dolphin because ‘you can’ all I can do is show these photos that I have found and that have inspired me and hope they have an impact too.

Global Warming

There has been a lot of people saying that ‘Global Warming is a myth’ whether it’s a myth or not are you really up to taking that chance??

It is a fact that the polar ice caps are melting and it is a fact that we as humans are letting off a lot of unnecessary pollution and there is a lot of encouragement to not drive your cars instead walk, to turn of all your light switches and unplug everything before you go to bed. Whether it actually makes a difference or not we shall never know but our children and our children’s children will, and it is out of fear that everyone does it, it is for he hope of a better life for your legacy.

It does effect animals more than us clearly, if its too hot, we pop on our central heating, if its too cold we light a fire, if its wet we simply close our doors until it ends, animals are not this lucky, they do what they can in finding shelter and some have adapted to malt there fur and change their colour to stay cool or warm up but what when it gets too bad??

This is an advert that has been on t recently about trying to sae energy, I think it is a good advert in the fact he is teaching his daughter about the issues, but there is also a con to this pro, he is putting all the pressure to make it right on her, it is highly based on your daughters or sons doing something which takes the blame of the parents and he is essentially saying ‘’we made this mess, your generation has to clean it up’’.

There is also this Advert which shows extreme conditions on earth where the animals cannot cope and cannot live, it is a very extreme advert and although I think it does make its point very effectively I do have an issue with this and that is that I believe that suicide is a self punishment. I don’t believe you can blame it on any one else. Which would be this aderts downfall, I know other people who have experienced suicide related situations and they did blame themselves at first but you learn that it is not your fault. This advert only works on the basis that it is blaming you for their deaths, for THEIR SUICIDES. Which I find disgusting and immoral, I believe no one should ever be blamed for someone killing themselves. If people have the same thought as me no matter how upsetting the advert is, its not our fault that THEY KILL THEMSELES. that’s the downfall of this advert.
