Camera, Action, Play Dead!

This is the opening Cinematic to a XBOX 360 game I own called;

Alice: Madness Returns.

The sequel to American McGee's Alice,

Previously released on the PC and re-released onto the XBOX360 to accompany the release of Alice; Madness Returns.

American McGee’s Alice was a very old game and it’s graphics were good for it’s time, but in comparison to the newest release were rigid and flat.

The cinematics were purely just game play action scenes, rather than illustrated like the second game, although they still managed to get through a truly disturbing effect, mainly due to it’s composition and film angles.

Madness Returns has such a creepy introduction

as all things seem innocent but then turn gory.

I love the almost puppet like style they use in the animation.

Paper upon paper, with burst of puppetry movements.

Puppets are always creepy whether there hand made, illustrated or animated.

I find these cinematics fascinating and yet scary.
